Torgiano (m 219, from 6091), inserted between the Most Beautiful Villages of Italy is renowned for the production of excellent wines DOC, but also of precious oils. The village is situated on a stretch of vineyards, while the castle was built by Perugia, as an outpost to defend the fertile lands, in the thirteenth century. Very influential for the production of wine was also the `tireless work Benedictine. The landscape is a wonderful tribute to devotees of Bacchus, with screws married tree that traverse almost entirely beside the most recent techniques of war.
The great tradition of viticulture is enclosed and kept it inside the Wine Museum, founded in 1974 by rearranging the `vineyard Lungarotti Palazzo Graziani-Baglioni; the collection includes objects, map, papers, archaeological materials, pottery, irons, engravings, agricultural tools, but it is also a center for research and temporary variations on the same theme.
