The country is the most Sellano “remote” between the municipalities of Valle Umbra: the small mountain village it is located on the border with the Marche Region. Its economy is complemented by craft (food, tools, wood) among which stands out the production of files and rasps of great quality and very much appreciated by connoisseurs. Sellano (m. 640), severely affected by the earthquake 1997, was once an important road junction and a fertile center of agricultural production.
To visit the parish church of Santa Maria Assunta, of the thirteenth century, the Church of St. Francis, the sixteenth century, three naves with altars of stone and wood and the Town Hall. In the central square there is parking for disabled, and the Church of San Francesco has an access ramp with a slope according to law; next there is also a bar available, floor street. The entrance to the Town Hall has a ramp with a slope lower than’ 8%, inside there is a lift for the disabled and under a toilet.
Villa is located in the surrounding Magina, village where you can visit the main church with a guide and the picturesque Lake Vigi, which can be reached easily by car.
