Passignano sul Trasimeno (m 289, from 5498) is on a steep hill sloping down to the Lake Trasimeno, surrounded by rolling hills planted with olive trees and vines.
Important tourist center, Passignano is an example of harmonious symbiosis between its center and the new millennium settlements related to economic activities, production, tourist and sport. The village is connected to ` Isola Maggiore and all `Polvese Island and is home to EntriesEnte Parco Trasimeno.
On top of the village you can admire the ancient ` Rock (V-VI century), the Church of St. Christopher, built before the XI century on the ruins of a pagan building, the Church of San Rocco, the Church of San Bernardino and l `Oratory of San Rocco.
Outside the village `deserves attention the sixteenth Sanctuary of the Madonna dell `Olivo, which houses sculptures and wood value, such as “Madonna and Child” Ascanio da Cortona is interesting and the Museum of Boats.
