It is born from the reuse of the park area south of the disused quarry, north of Via Mameli and near the City Park Topino. Areas involved insisted on a series of warehouses and abandoned industrial facilities (furnaces, mills) some of which are in ruins. Part of, property of the FBM (Furnaces Briziarelli Marsciano), is used for storing materials of the same company.

The program has identified a series of actions designed to redevelop the entire area and relate this part of the city with the most densely populated district of sportella Marini, through the implementation of an extract of the urban river park Topino and a link to bicycle and pedestrian crossing the river. The connection has been possible through the construction of a bridge, which has wood flooring and access ramps in concrete. For the ascent and descent of the bridge there is a gradient of about 8%, broken every ten feet from a short flat stretch, approximately one meter.

Were identified within the protected paths and pedestrian paths (the area has, among other things, a particular richness from the point of view of the fish fauna and ornithological) and the realization of a complex structure that includes bar and catering area and a kind of amphitheater for cultural events (concerts, shows, dancing ...).

Are present two toilets reserved disabled people in the auditorium, next to the bar.

Technically the park is run from August 2008 for nine years (more than nine other renewal) group “The Fun”, always engaged in `entertainment and events in the organization of the regional and national. The group is promoter of the event “Summer in the Park” organizing for three years during the summer at the park in collaboration with the associations of the area and, particularly, with the `Association HOFF (and born at the Park) and bad roads. Now in its third year of the River Park Hoffman has organized and hosted music concerts, theater, sporting events, literary events, meetings with schools, eco-activities, activities for children, young, adults and seniors, and many other initiatives that have offered a wide choice to its many users. The park has proved to be a place of social cohesion and cultural promotion at all levels and now has a versatility and a program that can be considered of general interest not only for the City of Foligno, but for the whole region. In this context, the summer program 2010 aims to make it even richer and the offer of organic initiatives to the territory. “Summer in the Park” is therefore the ideal framework within which to present many of the initiatives planned at River Park Hoffmann.

(Open every day, every night, throughout the summer).

Accessibility

The greenway path provides two access: from the district sportella Marini, by way of Sicily, Raffaello Sanzio at via or from the Emerald district of Prato. Access from Emerald Lawn provides a small ramp in concrete with a slope of 8% for about 15 meters, preceded by a short stretch of dirt, with a slope of 10% about. There are two paths, on the west bank of the river and on the eastern. Each of the two paths in turn has two parallel paths, tall one, along the bank of the river and the low, under the bank of the river. The upper path on the west bank of the river, path from Bridge of Victory, has, in its final stretch, immediately before the bridge Hoffmann, a slope of about 8% for a length of about 40 meters. The rest is mostly flat, with a few short sections with a maximum gradient of 4% about. His other final stretch towards the Bridge of Victory, less parallel to the path that connects, has a slope of 7% about. The high trail is almost all sunny and more suggestive, while the bottom is mostly shaded in the morning. The path along the eastern bank, dal ponte Hoffmann verso la direzione per St. John Profiamma, has, in the initial portion, in the vicinity of the bridge Hoffmann same, a slope of about 8% for a length of about 40 meters. From this location you can take a path beaten to the ground, entirely flat, length of about 300 meters, fully closed, that leads to the waterfall. Along this path we can go down on the bed of the river across a rutted dirt path, with a slope of 15% about.
