Also called the church of death for being the home of the Brotherhood. It is one of the oldest churches in Foligno, back to the twelfth century. It presents, however, a Greek cross plan, result of a reorganization carried out in the mid-eighteenth century Designed by Francesco Antonio Bettini. Worthy of mention are, altar, a Annunciation Gaetano Gandolfi of Bologna and, altars of arms, Deposition from the Cross and Resurrection, Sienese paintings by Giuseppe Nicola Nasini. An inscription on the wall of the adjacent Piazza del Grano commemorates a “solemn procession of penance” in 1815.
