Erected near the place where once stood in the twelfth or thirteenth century abbey of Benedictine monks from the sources indicated and from 1138, This church has a fourteenth-century façade courses pink and white stone with three portals pointed, surmounted by three small rosettes made in 1889 designed by the architect Vincenzo Welcome. Behind the church stands the bell tower spire on the right, also courses of white stone and pink, on which there are four lancet windows with trefoil contemporary façade to. The bell was cast and nel1357 by Matteo di Bologna Ugolino.
The current layout of the interior was built between 1748 and 1759 by the architect Peter Loni Lugano and executed by local workers.
To the right of, in a niche, Madonna of the Milk, with Saint Catherine of Alexandria, other holy (Cristina from Bolsena?) and client (sec. XV). In a newsagent, the second pillar on the left, image of the Virgin (sec. XV).
In a room adjoining the sacristy there is a tombstone with reclining figure of Conradin of Rinalducci Trinci, Prior of the collegiate 1338 to the 1383. The frontals of the two orders of choir stalls are covered with tapestries with depictions of the biblical, Story of Jacob, the end of the sixteenth century.
On the altar at the bottom of the right aisle is a painting representing St. Francis of Paola (as. 1744) Francesco Appiani; altar on the left side, patronage of the family Onofri, of whose coat of arms, is a painting of the Pity, the work of Luca Mancini (1755). On the altar on the right side Madonna and Child with St. Stanislaus Kostka, the Sicilian Gaetano Sortini, painting, signed and dated 1756. On the high altar is a Resurrection, of Foligno Benedict Pizzoni.
The organ dates from 1755 and is the work of Michele Barbi.
