It was built in the second half of the fourteenth century, and according to Ludwig Jacobilli was so named for its proximity to the river Topino; was originally two aisles, one of which turned into 1776 in the church today and the other used as a sacristy preserving the original Gothic structure with part of the frescoes on the walls and on the cruise sails.
All’internal, worth mentioning a St. John the Evangelist, operates the 1884 Charles Botti, altar, some eighteenth-century paintings by an unknown author and a wooden statue of Apollonia, attributed to Antonio Calcione.
All’external, on the wall that turns on via Ash, kiosk with a fresco of the fifteenth century.
