The building, located in the oldest part of the city, Guaita in San Pancrazio, was built in sec. XVI uniting two floors of medieval houses structured and staggered in height due to the steep terrain of `performance.
The palace began as a noble residence of the family of Saints Cascia. It was then the Convent of the Augustinian, and then acquit the City of Cascia who used it to host the Police and later as a school. After the earthquake of 80/81 was used as a Museum opened in the late 90. The museum runs on multiple levels with an archaeological museum, an art gallery and a lecture hall rooms dedicated to contemporary art.
