The Service Center Foligno Soc. Coop. Social is born 05.02.1996 on the initiative of some members of the
POL Disabled Foligno , particularly, Sig. Carlo Marano.
The object of the cooperative is characterized, outset, for an attention to the
following principles: mutuality, solidarity, the democratic, commitment, the balance of
accountability for roles, the link with the territory, a balanced relationship with the State and the
public institutions.
The aim of the social cooperative is to promote and implement the inclusion of
disabled people into work: you want to put these people in the conditions
to work together with others believing that the work is an obvious vehicle for the realization of
person in his existential dimension and social.
One area of activity that is the subject of particular interest to the Cooperative is tourism, in
especially that aimed at people with a physical or mental handicap. The activity of
Cooperative in this area have been many over the years.
The highlights of the history of the Cooperative are the following:
1. Realization of guides on "Accessible Tourism"
The Cooperative has managed the implementation of several guides:
• In 1998 oversaw the creation of the Guide "Foligno accessible" on behalf of the City
Foligno;
• In 1999 oversaw the creation of the Guide "Assisi accessible "on behalf of the City
Assisi;
• In 2009 has managed the implementation of the project "Accessible Tourism Guide on the dorsal
Apennine "on behalf of the STL - VALLEYS AND MOUNTAINS DELL'UMBRIA ANCIENT.
2. Laboratory of bookbinding
In 2012 the site has been enriched, thanks to an activity detection and research efforts of volunteers
of the cooperative in the city of Perugia, with the creation of an interactive map that identifies
two possible routes for the disabled in the acropolis of the city and with the provision of
specific information for the handicapped.
Among the various sectors of activity that are developed from birth of the Cooperative are
creations and craft commercializzazioni: in particular between the 1997 and 1999 were held three
courses paper industry in favor of some members mainly disadvantaged workers. Since then it has
started a bookbinding workshop which over the years has allowed a real
integration, through the work, between able-bodied persons and persons with disabilities and who
carried out work for the ASL n. 3 and various municipalities, including the City of Foligno and the towns of
Cannock, Castel Ritaldi, Gualdo Cattaneo, Campello sul Clitunno, Janus Umbria.
3. Farmacup and service delivery and customer satisfaction services

Since the beginning of 2002 some working members have played at the community pharmacies
Town of Foligno and in agreement with the Afam SpA, A booking service performance
specialist for the hospital and the health districts of 'Asl n. 3 (Farmacup). Were carried out for

4. For paraolimpiadi 2004
In the months from February to May 2004 the Cooperative has successfully managed the secretariat
organizational Pre – paraolimpiadi 2004, international exhibition of sports for disabled
was attended by over 500 athletes from various countries of the world and which was held in
various municipalities of the Region.
5. Exolea 2005 – 2006
On the occasion of the international event held in Foligno Exolea years 2005 –
2006 for the promotion of extra virgin olive oil, the Cooperative has played services
secretarial and management stand as well as support for the promotion.
